About the role
This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective environmental management and sustainable operations within the plant. You will be responsible for overseeing Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining optimal environmental performance. In addition to daily operations, you will drive improvement initiatives related to water conservation, energy efficiency, and resource optimization, while also supporting the development and implementation of renewable energy projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role contributes to building efficient, compliant, and environmentally responsible operations.
What will you do
- Oversee the daily operations of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure water quality and wastewater discharge meet applicable regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including AMDAL (Environmental Impact Assessment), UKL-UPL (Environmental Impact Assessment), wastewater quality standards, and environmental permits.
- Monitor environmental parameters such as water consumption, wastewater quality, energy use, and environmental performance indicators.
- Ensure effective maintenance in the WT and WWT areas.
- Manage and support improvement projects related to environmental management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and increased resource efficiency.
- Support the planning and implementation of renewable energy projects such as solar panels, hydropower, biogas, or other renewable energy sources to support sustainable plant operations.
- Coordinate with production and utility teams to ensure effective environmental controls and support efficient and sustainable operations.
- Prepare environmental reports and documentation, and support regulatory audits or inspections.
- Supervise environmental staff and operators to ensure work is carried out in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
What we are looking for
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in environmental management, WTP/WWTP, or sustainability in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical, cross-functional coordination, and leadership skills.
- Understanding of environmental regulations such as AMDAL, UKL-UPL, and environmental quality standards.
- Experience in WTP/WWTP operations, environmental performance monitoring, and waste management.
- Project management experience related to environmental programs, energy efficiency, or renewable energy (e.g., solar panels or biogas).
