The Strength Behind Every Role: Stories That Aren't Always Seen, But Are Always Felt
Behind every strong woman is a story she rarely tells out loud
We chose this theme intentionally. Because when we look at the women in this organization, at every level and every role, we see people who show up fully and consistently, often without being asked. Different lives, different battles, but underneath it all, the same quiet weight. What we wanted to do this Kartini's Day was make room to recognize that, and to say: we see you
Many carry it without showing it. Showing up composed, performing well, keeping it together, while quietly asking: Am I making the right choice? Can I keep going? We wanted to create a space where those questions could finally be spoken, because hearing each other's stories reminds us we're not alone
So in honor of Kartini's Day, we held a coffee talk session themed "Behind Every Strong Role: Stories That Aren't Always Seen, But Are Always Felt." A space to pause, listen, and acknowledge the stories that don't always surface, yet are deeply felt
One thing became clear. No two women's journeys are the same. Some are building careers. Some are navigating multiple roles. Some are still figuring out what their best version looks like. But beneath all that difference, one common thread: we are all trying. Learning to live with choices that aren't always easy, and accepting that "career and family" was never meant to be a choice
For working moms, the challenge goes far beyond time management. So much isn't visible: staying present for family, delivering at work, holding everything together. And through it all, many quietly wonder: Am I doing enough? That question isn't a sign of falling short. It's a sign of how deeply they care. What's needed most isn't perfection. It's understanding, support, and the feeling of being seen
Whatever path a woman chooses, building a career, raising a family, or both, each one deserves to be seen, supported, and appreciated
We also tend to forget ourselves. Personal space quietly becomes the first thing we give up. But we can't keep pouring from an empty cup. Taking time for yourself isn't selfish. It's how we stay whole
The conversation also went somewhere we didn't expect. Many of the dynamics we navigate today were shaped long before we stepped into these roles. Who we choose to build a life with, and whether we're truly willing to grow together, often shapes everything that follows, including the family that grows within it.
There was no single answer that came out of that room. But something was affirmed. Whatever role you're living right now, you matter. Don't lose yourself in the expectations, the responsibilities, or the roles you carry
To every woman who showed up, shared her story, and chose to keep going: thank you. For your honesty, your strength, and for reminding us that surviving, in whatever form that takes, is worth celebrating
Slowly. Quietly. Not always easily, but forward
